LORETTO, Pa. -- Senior guard Julie Molloy scored 19 points Friday night to lead the Slippery Rock University women's basketball team in scoring during an exhibition game at Division I St. Francis University.

The Rock trailed by only five points, 45-40, at the intermission but was outscored by a 61-19 margin in the final 20 minutes.

Senior guard Chere' Marshall added nine points for SRU, while freshman Alex Beatty chipped in seven points.

The Rock officially opens its 2009-10 season Nov. 15 with a road game at Tiffin (Ohio) University before it entertains Seton Hill in the home opener three days later in Morrow Field House.
