SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University women's soccer team ended its 2009 season with a 2-1 victory over Gannon in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division contest Saturday at Thompson Stadium.
The Rock, which closes its 14th consecutive winning season with an overall record of 10-5-3 and a PSAC-West mark of 6-5-3, honored four seniors before playing in their final collegiate game.

Alexis Chiani were all recognized for their efforts.
Gannon, now 10-6-1 overall and 8-5-1 in league play, struck first in the game when Breanne Radin scored into the upper right corner of the net in the eighth minute.
The Rock wasted no time in notching the game at 1-1 when
Juliana Howell put home a rebound off a shot from
Alison Hindley just 25 seconds later.
The game-winner came in the 20th minute when
Emer Flatley scored her first collegiate goal off an assist from
Ashley Paganie.
The Rock dominated possession in the game and only gave Gannon two solid looks in the entire 90 minutes. SRU finished with advantages of 19-5 in total shots, 14-3 in shots on goal and 6-2 in corner kicks.
Lacy was credited with the win in goal after allowing one goal and recording two saves. Sabrina Chirco kept her team in the game by recording 12 saves, but was credited with the loss after allowing two goals.
