SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa.
– Edinboro's Rachel Dahlstrand scored with 34 seconds left in regulation to lift the Fighting Scots to a 2-1 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division win over Slippery Rock Tuesday at Egli Field.

With the game tied at 1-1 entering the 90th minute, Edinboro was awarded a corner kick. The ball found the middle of a mass of players in the box before Melissa Leszek was able to get a shot off. Her shot was saved by Rock keeper Alli Bird, but the rebound found the foot of Dahlstrand, who scored into the right side of the net to seal the win.

The Rock finished the game with advantages of 17-9 in total shots, 7-5 in shots on goal and 4-3 in corner kicks.

Edinboro got on the board first when Leszek slipped a shot under Bird off an assist from Dahlstrand in the 15th minute.

The Rock notched the game at 1-1 in the 37th minute when Alyssa Barrett scored her fourth goal of the season off a long pass through the box from Rachel Knapp.

Bird was credited with the loss in goal, her first of the season, after allowing two goals and recording three saves.
