SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- Sophomore outside hitters
Alee Kromer and
Kaylee Smith had 14 and 12 kills, respectively, Friday night in the Slippery Rock University women's volleyball team's 3-1 loss to visiting Indiana in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action in Morrow Field House.
Smith also had 23 digs for The Rock, who saw their season record fall to 6-13 and their PSAC mark drop to 2-5. Indiana is now 11-9 overall, 4-3 in conference action.
Senior defensive specialist
Stacey Domer had team-high totals in digs (26) and service aces (3) for SRU, which will host California in a 4 p.m. conference contest Saturday in Morrow Field House.
Junior middle blocker
Keira Peoples chipped in 10 kills and three blocks; junior setter
Kim Wilson handed out 23 assists, while junior setter/defensive specialist
Anna Bixler added 21 assists and 16 digs and sophomore outside hitter
Alexa Erossy had 10 digs and five blocks.
After hosting California, The Rock embarks on a five-match road trip before it returns home for an Oct. 20 date with conference rival Clarion.
