SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- A second-half scoring slump proved fatal to The Rock victory hopes Saturday afternoon in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference "crossover" action in Morrow Field House.
Visiting Millersville outscored The Rock by a 32-19 margin in the final 20 minutes to record a 60-48 win.
SRU (5-7) shot a frigid 26.7% (8 of 30) from the field in the final half to finish with a 34.4% (21 of 61) efficiency. The Green and White shot 23.5% (4 of 17) from 3-point range and 50% (2 of 4) from the foul line.
Millersville (10-2) made 50% (13 of 26) of its second-half shots to finish with a 39.3% (24 of 61) efficiency from the field, hit 28.6% (4 of 14) from beyond the arc and made 42.1% (8 of 19) of its free throws.
The visitors held a 45-41 advantage in rebounds and were on the shorter end of an 18-16 turnover comparison.

The Rock held a one-point, 29-28, lead at halftime after the lead changed hands six times and the score was tied three times.
Millersville scored the first five points of the second half and never relinquished the lead thereafter. The largest Marauders lead was an 18-point, 61-43, advantage with 45 seconds left to play.
The Rock returns to action at 1 p.m. Sunday, when it will host West Chester in the fourth and final game of this year's conference-mandated "crossover" series. SRU is now 1-2 in the series with a win over then-No. 15 Shippensburg and losses to Cheyney and Millersville.
