SRU sits atop PSAC Championship team standings after Day 2

The Rock has accumulated 44 points through Friday and leads second-place Kutztown by 10 points and third-place Lock Haven by 19.5 points

INDIANA, Pa. -- The Rock led the team standings at the conclusion of the second day of competition in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championships at Indiana U. of Pa.

SRU accumulated 44 points through the end of Friday's events and led second-place Kutztown by 10 points and third-place Lock Haven by 19.5 points.

The Rock did not record any individual first-place finishes Friday, but collected four second-place finishes.

Mike Rose was second in the decathlon competition with 6290 points, while Rock teammate Brady Wert placed fourth with 5988 points.

Adam Jones was the conference runner-up in the hammer throw with a toss of 175-6, while Chris Warning earned the silver medal in the discus throw with a toss of 156-2.

Rounding out The Rock highlights from Friday were a 2-3 finish by Jeff Weiss (30:31.08) and Pat Reagan (31:02.51) in the 10,000-meter run.

The conference championships conclude Saturday.
