INDIANA, Pa. -- The Rock recorded five first-place finishes in Saturday's IUP Invitational.
Headlining The Rock effort was
Tim Tray's winning height of 16 feet, 3.25 inches in the pole vault that earned him a provisional berth in the NCAA national championship competition.
Another highlight was
Mike Rose's winning total of 6,433 points in the decathlon, which is the best total by a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference competitor this spring.
Other first-place finishes for The Rock were recorded by
Terrece Draper in the triple jump (46-7.25),
Nate Hardic in the javelin throw (202-5) and
Adam Jones in the hammer throw (161-10).
