CALIFORNIA, Pa. -- Julie Molloy and KellyAnn Staudinger scored 16 points and 15 points, respectively, Wednesday night but could not lead The Rock to victory.
Hosting California U. of Pa. outscored SRU by a 53-25 margin in the second half of action en route to an 82-58 victory in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division action.
The loss was SRU's ninth straight and dropped the Green and White's overall record to 7-19 and its PSAC-West mark to 1-10.
California, the No. 2-ranked team in the NCAA Division II East Region, improved its record to 21-5 overall and 8-3 in PSAC-West action.
The Rock held a four-point, 33-29. lead at halftime despite committing 14 turnovers, which California converted into 15 points.
SRU finished the game with 34 turnovers, which California turned into 36 points.
The Rock will conclude its 2007-08 season Saturday with a 1 p.m. home game vs. Clarion.
