ASHLAND, Ohio -- Senior forward
Sasha Sales (pictured above) scored a team-high 15 points and grabbed six rebounds Sunday afternoon in The Rock's 78-51 loss to hosting Ashland in the championship game of the Holiday Inn Express Tournament.
The loss dropped The Rock's season record to 2-4 heading into Thursday's 7 p.m. home game vs. Salem International (W. Va.).
Ashland, which received votes in last week's Women's Basketball Coaches Association Division II national poll, improved its season record to 4-0.

Lynsey Warren scored a game-high 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the winning attack.
The Rock hung with the Eagles early in the game before the hosts wrestled away control of the action.
SRU trailed by only one point, 23-22, with 5:45 left to play in the first half but found itself down by 14 points (42-28) at intermission as Ashland closed out the first half of action with a 19-6 run.
The Eagles picked up right where they left off following the halftime break as they went on a 10-3 run in the first four minutes of the second half to take a 52-31 lead.
The Rock never trimmed the margin to less than 18 points in the final 15 minutes of action.
