Sarah Lacy (pictured above) recorded eight saves Wednesday afternoon in The Rock's 2-0 loss at Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division rival California.
The loss snapped a modest three-game win streak for SRU (7-2-1 overall, 4-2-1 PSAC-W).
California (6-3-2 overall, 3-3-1 PSAC-W), meanwhile, recorded its third straight win and first vs. The Rock since 1995, a string of 16 games.
The Vulcans, who scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 24th minute and added an insurance tally in the 30th minute, outshot The Rock by a 14-11 margin.
The Rock returns to action at 11 a.m. Sunday, when it will play a PSAC "crossover" game at East Stroudsburg, before hosting Clarion in a 7 p.m. PSAC-West game Tuesday at N. Kerr Thompson Stadium.
