Cooper receives NSCAA Scholar-All-America third-team honor

Rock junior forward Danielle Cooper was the only PSAC student-athlete (female or male) to be recognized by the coaches organization

Rock junior forward Danielle Cooper was recently named to National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas Scholar All-America third-team College Division honors.

Cooper, who hails from Lancashire, England, was the only Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference student-athlete -- female or male -- to be honored by the coaches organization.

Cooper currently carries a 3.5 grade point average as a business administration/sport management major at SRU.

On the field, Cooper earned first-team All-PSAC-Western Division honors for the second successive season after being a second-team selection as a freshman in 2005.

Cooper scored eight goals and had one assist this fall to help lead The Rock to a best-ever 17-5-1 record. Along the way, the Green and White won the PSAC-Western Division championship, claimed the PSAC playoff runner-up trophy and earned a second successive trip to the NCAA Division II playoffs.

Cooper currently ranks eighth on SRU's career scoring chart with 22 goals, 16 assists and 60 points in three collegiate campaigns. She is tied for sixth in career goals and ranks seventh in career assists.
