USC Release
KANSAS CITY, Mo – The Slippery Rock University men's soccer team was selected a recipient of the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Team Academic Award based on the team's cumulative GPA during the 2025-26 academic year.
A total of 338 men's soccer teams posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2025-26 academic year.
Slippery Rock concluded 2025-26 with a team GPA of 3.56. The Rock's impressive GPA also ranked first among Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference men's soccer programs.
The announcement marks the second time in program history that Slippery Rock has taken home the award.

Plamedi Warsinsky all took home PSAC Scholar-Athlete awards with GPA's of at least 3.25. DeShong and Tierney each completed the academic year with a 4.0 GPA.
SRU was one of four teams from the PSAC to earn the honor from USC this season. Other PSAC teams receiving Team Academic Award recognition in addition to The Rock were Bloomsburg (3.38), East Stroudsburg (3.21), Lock Haven (3.38) and West Chester (3.45).
