Final Results
ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Slippery Rock University women's track & field team won 10 of the 14 events SRU athletes competed in Saturday at the Jim Wuske Invite hosted by the University of Mount Union.
Â
The Rock also recorded 13 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference automatic qualifying marks and one NCAA provisional qualifying mark.

The lone NCAA mark of the day came from
Paige Griffith, who cleared a career-high 1.67 meters to win the high jump competition.
Sophia Yard also hit the PSAC standard to take third in the event with a clearance of 1.58 meters.

The Rock swept all of the jumping events Saturday with
Baylee Blauser winning both the horizontal jumps and
Allie Taylor picking up a win in the pole vault to go along with Griffith's win in the high jump. Blauser took the long jump win with a leap of 5.48 meters and won the triple jump with a mark of 11.00 meters to lead SRU to a sweep of the top four spots in the triple jump. Taylor won the pole vault with a clearance of 3.59 meters and
Hanna Zeiler took fifth in the vault with a PSAC qualifying mark of 3.39 meters.

Becca Martin and
Olivia Heckman rounded out the PSAC marks in the field when they swept the top two spots in the shot put. Martin won the competition with a throw of 12.92 meters with Heckman finishing second with a toss of 12.68 meters.

Jianna Long picked up a pair of wins on the track after taking first in the 200-meter dash and the 400-meter dash. She clocked a time of 26.40 seconds in the 200m and posted a time of 1:00.40 in the 400m.

Jennifer Cichra recorded a pair of PSAC qualifying marks in the distance races. She won the 5,000-meter race with a time of 18:44.99 and also took second in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:23.31.

Ruthie Hughes won the mile with a PSAC qualifying time of 5:11.50 to round out the top efforts of the distance runners.

Slippery Rock also swept both of the 60-meter races Saturday with
Regan Johnson winning the 60-meter dash in 7.92 seconds and
Chaley Younkin winning the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.40 seconds. Younkin also ran a PSAC qualifying time of 9.22 seconds in the prelims.
