KENT, Ohio – The Slippery Rock University women's indoor track & field team recorded nine Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference qualifying marks, two NCAA provisional marks, one event win and 20 top-10 finishes at the Jud Logan Memorial hosted by Kent State University Saturday.

The Rock were returning to action for the first time in more than a month after a long semester break.
Â
The lone event win on the day came from distance runner
Anna Igims, who was making her indoor season debut. She won the 3,000-meter run in 10:15.16 to lead a trio of SRU runners to PSAC qualifying marks in the event.
Ruthie Hughes was fourth in 10:26.90 and
Katie Plassio was sixth in 10:35.75.

Both NCAA provisional marks came in the field events from athletes that already had met the NCAA standard this winter.
Kendall Grossman took third in the pole vault with a clearance of 3.75 meters and
Sarah Corrie was sixth in the shot put with a toss of 13.87 meters.

Hanna Zeiler took seventh in the pole vault with a mark of 3.30 meters to also hit the PSAC standard and
Becca Martin joined Corrie in reaching the PSAC mark in the shot put with an eighth place finish and a throw of 12.64 meters.

Samantha Gilbert was the highest finisher in the field with a runner-up showing in the long jump with a PSAC mark of 5.51 meters.
Baylee Blauser also recorded a top 10 in the event in ninth place at 5.27 meters.

Tiffany Jolayemi rounded out the PSAC marks in the field with a 15th place showing in the weight throw with a toss of 15.00 meters.

SRU also had four women place in the top 10 in the triple jump with
Aleks Brozeski leading the way in fifth place with a leap of 10.83 meters. Blauser was sixth at 10.75 meters, followed by
Autumn Wyatt in seventh at 10.29 meters and
Marissa Seminick in ninth at 9.85 meters.

High jumpers
Lydia Latimer and
Cassidy Davis tied for fifth with clearances of 1.53 meters to round out the top 10 efforts in the field.

Latimer also teamed with
Lydia Reed,
Rachel Veneziano and
Annasophia Stauffer to place sixth in the 4x400-meter relay in a time of 4:04.74.
Â
Veneziano and Stauffer both tallied top 10 finishes in the open 400-meter dash with Veneziano finishing eighth in 1:00.97 and Stauffer taking 10th in 1:02.44.
Mid-distance runners
Madison Murtland and
Jennifer Cichra rounded out the top 10 finishes in the mile with Murtland placing ninth in 5:21.69 and Cichra finishing 10th in 5:22.01.

Slippery Rock will compete in each of the next four weekends at different sites in Ohio, first visiting Ashland University next Saturday for the Ashland Invitational.
