SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University track and field teams had four men and four women complete two days of competition at the Susquehanna University Multi Meet that wrapped up Friday evening.
 
On the women's side, Slippery Rock send Dani MacBeth, Lorna Speigle, Madelyn Miller and Alison Lamoreaux to compete in the seven-event heptathlon that began Thursday and concluded Friday afternoon.
 
MacBeth was the top finisher for SRU in sixth place with a score of 3,947 points. Speigle was eighth with 3,767 points, followed by Miller in 10th with 3,646 points and Lamoreaux in 11th with 3,450 points.
 
Miller also recorded a PSAC qualifying mark in the 100-meter hurdles during the competition with her time of 15.97 seconds.
 
On the men's side, Slippery Rock sent Gavin Thomas, Ethan Folmer, James Amodei and Jack Keenan to compete in the 10-event decathlon that began Thursday and concluded Friday evening.
 
Thomas led the way for SRU in eighth place with a final score of 5,446 points. Folmer was ninth with 5,240 points, followed by Keenan in 12th place with 4,914 points and Amodei in 13th with 4,913 points.
 
Keenan also recorded a PSAC qualifying mark in the 110-meter hurdles during the contest with his time of 15.91 seconds.
 
The rest of the Slippery Rock track and field teams will be in action Saturday at the Westminster Invitational hosted by Westminster College.
