LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Slippery Rock University men's cross country standout
Troy Hart was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Men's XC Athlete of the Week in an announcement from the league office Tuesday.

Hart, a junior from Fredonia, Pennsylvania, picks up his second straight PSAC weekly honor after also being recognized Sept. 26. The Rock men have now had an athlete recognized as the PSAC Athlete of the Week following each of their last three competitions with
Joseph Cintavey also being honored Sept. 19.

The latest award for Hart and the SRU men comes after he won the Bill Lennox Invitational hosted by Slippery Rock Saturday at the Lawrence Country Fairgrounds. Hart established a course record with a winning time of 24:49 on the 8,000-meter course.

The Rock men took 1-2-3 in the individual race with
Ethan Brentham and Cintavey finishing in second and third. SRU also won the team title, topping a field of 12 complete teams with a score of 32 total points.

Slippery Rock currently sits No. 3 in the latest set of Atlantic Region rankings as it prepares for the upcoming championship season. The Rock will look to challenge for the PSAC crown at the conference championship meet Oct. 21 at Bloomsburg.
