QUICK HITS
•
Last time out: Slippery Rock suffered a tough 75-48 road loss at Pitt-Johnstown Saturday.
Isabellah Middleton led The Rock with her seventh double-double of the season by way of 10 points and 11 rebounds to go along with two steals.
Deleah Gibson joined
Isabellah Middleton in double figure points with 10 in addition to having three rebounds, three steals and three assists.
Â
• The Rock are solid when playing in crossover contests as they have registered a 25-18 (.581) record in contests against PSAC East competitors since 2014-15. SRU is 3-2 against its Eastern Division opponents this season and a win against LHU would give Slippery Rock its third winning crossover record in the past five seasons. SRU was 5-1 in 2017-18 and 5-0 in 2018-19.
Â
•
Isabellah Middleton is on a three-game double-double streak and is now one double figure point and rebound performance away from tying her sister
Kennedy Middleton for sixth in career double-doubles at SRU since 2002-03.
Â
• After three consecutive games of making more than 20 turnovers against California (Pa.) (21), Seton Hill University (23) and Mercyhurst University (21), SRU has now registered back-to-back games with less than 20 miscues versus Edinboro (16) and Pitt-Johnstown (14).
Â
• SRU continues to show its dominance on defense as its 10 steals Saturday mark the 10th game this season in which The Rock tallied double-digit takeaways.
