Slippery Rock was led in the loss by freshman point guard Iyanna Wade, who turned in a 20-point, six-assist, two-rebound performance. Wade's 20 points was a career-high while her six assists marked the seventh time this year in which she's dished out at least five assists.

Rounding out The Rock's starting lineup was Kayley Joseph-Bernard, who went for five points, 11 rebounds, four steals, two assists and one block, and Alyssa Gillin's nine-point, four-assist, two-block afternoon.

Slippery Rock scored the game's first five points and led for the majority of the opening 15 minutes, but with SRU leading by six points (21-15) early in the second quarter it was the Bald Eagles that controlled the rest of the half by finishing on a 15-7 run to take a slim 30-28 lead of their own into the halftime break.
