SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - The Slippery Rock University field hockey team will look to snap a two-game losing streak when it hosts Frostburg State University for a non-conference contest on Alumni Day 6 p.m. Friday at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium.

ALUMNI DAY
Friday will serve as The Rock's annual Alumni Day as SRU welcomes back all former members of the field hockey program. Prior to the game, Kayla Mack, who was a four-year member of the field hockey team from 2014-17, will take part in a ceremonial pass back.
Mack played in 74 games for SRU and was a two-time All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference honoree who still ranks second in program history for defensive saves in a career.

SCOUTING THE ROCK

Slippery Rock lost a road decision at Mansfield, 5-0, Wednesday.
NO PLACE LIKE HOME
51 of The Rock's 79 wins (.646) over the last decade have come at the friendly confines of Mihalik-Thompson Stadium. Slippery Rock is a healthy 17-9 (.654) when hosting teams that compete outside of the PSAC over the same stretch.
SRU is a perfect 3-0 when hosting non-conference opponents this year with wins over Wingate (5-0), Lincoln Memorial (4-1) and Franklin Pierce (3-1).
ROCK SOLID vs. NON-PSAC SCHOOLS
Dating back to the 2010 season, Slippery Rock holds a commanding 33-15 (.688) record against non-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference teams. So far this season, SRU is 5-2 against non-PSAC schools.

Addy Ross, who has been a part of three victories over the Bobcats while totaling one goal and one assist as well as three shots on goal.

BURKER CLIMBS SAVES LIST
While the final score was not the result SRU was looking for, Burker did make 19 saves against Mansfield earlier in the week. In addition to being the fifth-highest single-game save total in program history, Burker's 19 stops vaulted her past Ashley Winkelstecht (2006-07) and into seventh place in program history for saves in a career with 150.
Over 10 starts this year, Burker has made 75 saves on a .735 percentage to go with a 2.83 goals against average. She ranks second in the PSAC, and 12th in Division II, in saves per game at 6.22.

IRVING AND ROSS POCKET DEFENSIVE SAVES
Ross and
Nadia Irving each recorded defensive saves during the Mansfield game as well. The stops were the second such of the year for both athletes. Across the PSAC, only Hannah Meyer of Mansfield has more defensive saves this season than Ross and Irving with three for the Mountaineers.
ROLAND AMONG PROGRAM'S BEST
In The Rock's first 10 games, Roland has recorded a team-high 12 points on five goals and two assists and in doing so has joined an exclusive list in SRU history. Over the last 18 years there have been just six Rock athletes to have recorded 12 or more points in the first 10 games of the season.

IRON WOMEN
With just 14 position players currently dressing for games, all of which have played in every contest this year, Slippery Rock has one of the smallest benches in the country. Entering Friday, only Southern Connecticut State has played fewer position players in all of Division II (35 total teams).

THE ROCK ATTACK
While Roland leads SRU in goals, five others have scored multiple times this season as well.
Bailee Christman is second on the team with four goals followed by Colliver and
Gianna Conti with three apiece as well as
Samantha Karmonick and
Megan Rude at two each.
Irving, Ross,
Kayla Del Vecchio and
Haley Metcalf round out Slippery Rock's goal scorers as the quartet have all tallied one goal on the year.
Slippery Rock has been credited with assists on 20 of its 23 goals this season with Del Vecchio leading the way on a team-best five.
When Del Vecchio has not set up Rock goals it has been Colliver (3), Roland (2), Metcalf (2) and Irving (2) producing multiple assists while Christman, Gonti, Karmonick, Ross,
Sammy Graci and
Gabriella Delcoco having dished out one assist apiece.

SCOUTING THE BOBCATS
With seven games left in the season Frostburg State has already set a six-year program-high for wins in a single-year. FSU is currently in the midst of a two-game winning streak courtesy of home wins over nationally ranked Millersville University (2-1, OT) and Maryville University (3-2).
As a team, Frostburg State ranks eighth in Division II in both GAA (1.17) and scoring margin (+1.26).
Goalkeeper Madison Manalansan has surrendered just 12 goals over 11 games for a 1.21 GAA, 39 saves and a .765 save percentage. Manalansan had seven saves with four goals allowed in last year's loss to Slippery Rock.
Offensively, Emilie Bonhivert leads the way with 13 points on six goals and one assist. Olivia Wenzel has chipped in four goals as well while Femke Hofkamp has distributed a team-best four assists.
