EDINBORO, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University women's indoor track and field team recorded eight Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference automatic qualifying marks, five event wins and 25 top-five finishes Saturday at the Al Hall Freedom Games hosted by Edinboro University.
 
The competition marked the first action for The Rock since the first week of December as the team took nearly six weeks off for finals and the semester break.
 
The Rock swept the top three places in both throwing events and picked up wins in the long jump, high jump and pole vault to headline the performances on the day.
 
Jena Reinheimer won the weight throw with a PSAC mark of 15.59 meters to lead four SRU athletes to top five finishes in the event. Natasha Davis was second with a PSAC mark of 14.68 meters and Mikayla Cline took third with a PSAC mark of 14.04 meters. Rachel Hutchinson was fifth at 13.51 meters.
 
Trinity Clark made her indoor debut Saturday and won the shot put with a PSAC mark of 12.85 meters to lead a sweep of the top three spots. Sarah Corrie was second with a PSAC qualifying toss of 12.82 meters and Reinheimer was third at 12.62 meters, also a PSAC mark.
 
Jamie Macecevic won the pole vault with a PSAC qualifying height of 3.35 meters. Grace Parrett took second at 3.20 meters.
 
Chaley Younkin won the high jump with a clearance of 1.55 meters and Samantha Gilbert won the long jump with a leap of 4.87 meters to round out the event wins. Aleks Brozeski took second in the long jump with a leap of 4.78 meters and was third in the triple jump with a leap of 10.59 meters.
 
The only PSAC automatic qualifying mark on the track came from Morgan Donatelli, who took second in the 400-meter dash in 59.97 seconds. She also finished third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.77 seconds.
 
The Rock got runner-up finishes on the track from Ashanti Richardson in the 60-meter hurdles (9.47 seconds) and Allison Rennette in the 800-meter run (2:26.36).

Slippery Rock will be back in action next Friday at Youngstown State University.
