Slippery Rock lost a narrow 1-0 decision in an evenly-matched game against Belmont Abbey College on Sept. 11.

RECENT SUCCESS vs. FSU
Slippery Rock and Frostburg State played two games during the 2019 season in what were the first contests between The Rock and Bobcats since 2002. SRU won both games by scoring 11 total goals without allowing a Frostburg State score.
Jessie Trube was dominant in both games two years ago with five goals and one assist over the two games including a four-goal outing in SRU's 8-0 home win on Sept. 10, 2019.
Addy Ross added a goal and an assist in the 2019 series with
Lauren Marks rounding out The Rock's active players with at least one point vs. FSU via a goal in the aforementioned 8-0 win.

ROCK HITS THE ROAD
Since the 2010 season, Slippery Rock is 6-1 in road games against non-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference teams.

ROAD OPENERS
Slippery Rock will look to buck a recent trend of losing its first true road game of the season. Over the last five years, SRU is 1-4 in its road openers with the lone win coming at American International, 7-0, in 2018.

Dating back to the 2010 season, Slippery Rock holds a commanding 27-13 (.675) record against non-PSAC teams.

The duo of Trube and

Grace Burker has played every second of The Rock's three games this season. She holds a .808 save percentage, 21 saves and a 1.67 goals against average. She begins the week ranking second in the PSAC in total saves, third in save percentage, third in saves per game (7.0) and sixth in GAA.

CLAMPING DOWN IN THE SECOND HALF
Opponents have taken 35 shots against The Rock this season. Of those 35, 25 of the attempts have come in the first half as SRU's back line has allowed just 10 shots in the second half of games.

SCOUTING THE BOBCATS
• The Slippery Rock game will mark Frostburg State's first home contest of the season. FSU has opened the 2021 campaign with road losses at Seton Hill (2-1), Millersville (6-0) and Lindenwood (4-0) to go with a neutral-site loss to Newberry (4-0).

• Through four games, Frostburg State has a -15 scoring margin as the Bobcats have already surrendered 16 goals while tallying just one score of their own. FSU has also been out-shot 77-28.

• Macy Layfield has scored Frostburg State's lone goal this year. Defensively, goalkeeper Madison Manalansan has logged 220:11 of a possible 240 minutes of playing time. She has made 28 saves (.636) with a 4.36 GAA. Maddie Wallis has made two defensive saves.Â
