Daeja Quick enters the game ranked 21st in program history for assists in a career with 182. She needs three assists tonight to pass Ranee Aggers (1990-95) for 20th.

NON-CONFERENCE HOME GAMES
The Rock has traditionally held solid on its home court when playing non-conference opponents. SRU is 7-3 against non PSAC opponents at Morrow Field House dating back to the 2014-15 season. Of its seven wins, five games were victories by a margin of at least 20 points with the largest victory being by 41 points over Penn State Allegheny.

PSAC GAME HIGHS
The Rock posted a notable start to the season having made the PSAC game high list in multiple categories. SRU was first in field goals made with 35 against Notre Dame. Slippery Rock was also second in field goal percentage at .500 and points scored with 84, both against NDC.

THE QUICK DEFENSE
Daeja Quick earned a PSAC West Weekly honor for the first time in her career to begin the week. Quick was named the PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Week after tallying six steals through The Rock's first two games and posting one block to help SRU open the year 1-1.

SEEING DOUBLE
Jamiyah Johnson ended her time at the Earl Lloyd Classic with a pair of double-doubles made up of 16 points and 19 rebounds against Notre Dame and 13 points with 14 rebounds against West Virginia State. Johnson ended the weekend with 16.5 ppg and collecting 14.5 rpg. She went 12-of-20 from the floor overall while shooting 9-of-13 from the foul line.

Johnson is the first player to open the season with two consecutive double-double performances since the 2014-15 season when D'Asia Chambers opened with 13 points and 14 rebounds against Salem followed by 17 points and 13 rebounds over Gannon.

Anyah Curd picked up the first double-double of her career over the weekend against West Virginia State featuring an 11-point, 10-rebound performance that also included one block. The 10 rebounds were a career high while her 15 points and seven made field goals against Notre Dame also became new personal-bests.

ATTACKING THE BOARDS
Slippery Rock, the PSAC leader in offensive and defensive rebounding, has put up stellar numbers when battling for the boards. As a team, Slippery Rock entered the week leading in offensive rebounding averaging 49.5 per game with a +15.5 margin over its opponents. On the defensive end, SRU leads the PSAC in defensive rebounding average at 33.5 rpg.

Slippery Rock has two players who average double digit rebounds in
Jamiyah Johnson (14.5) and
Isabellah Middleton (10). SRU also features four players who have collected at least 10 total rebounds through two games in

SECOND HALF SUCCESS
Coming out of halftime breaks, Slippery Rock proves to be better than ever having scored a +25 margin over its opponents. Overall, The Rock has outscored their opposition 52-27 in the third quarter with individual third quarter scores against Notre Dame of 28-18 and West Virginia State by an impressive 24-9 margin.

Most of The Rock third quarter points have come from the paint as they outworked Notre Dame 20-6 points down low in the third and topped West Virginia State 12-4 in third period points in the paint.

NEWCOMER INVOLVEMENT
Newcomers,
Deleah Gibson,
Kennedy Middleton,
Kelley McKnight and
Bella Long all saw action in both games to open the season.

Gibson averaged 13.5 ppg and 3.0 rpg while going 10-of-19 from the floor and 5-of-12 from long range.
Kennedy Middleton ended the weekend scoring 9.5 ppg and averaging 7.0 rpg while going 6-of-14 overall and 7-of-11 from the foul line.

Rounding out the newcomers is McKnight, who tallied 3.5 ppg and 2.5 rpg while shooting 3-of-4 from the charity stripe and Long, who sunk her first 3-pointer of her career while averaging 2 rpg.

SCOUTING THE ARROWS
Ursuline has begun the 2021 season at a perfect 2-0 mark. The Arrows hold an impressive 91-point scoring average while posting extremely efficient shooting percentages from the field overall (.544), 3-point range (.421) and at the foul line (.938) while committing just 9.0 turnovers per game.

The Arrows are led on offense by Michaela Cloonan who averages 25 ppg while twin sister Madison Cloonan heads Ursulines defensive efforts with 10.5 rpg with 17 total defensive rebounds while also tallying 17 ppg.
