Jessie Trube scored a goal on an Addy Ross assist in the 55th minute to cut ESU's lead to one goal, but The Rock was unable to find the game-tying score in the contest's final moments in an eventual 2-1 loss to the Warriors, which were ranked No. 3 in the country at the time, on Oct. 13, 2019.

WINS vs. NATIONALLY RANKED TEAMS
Since the 2010 season, Slippery Rock has won nine games against nationally ranked teams. The Rock's previous wins against nationally ranked teams include victories against Kutztown (2017 / No. 5), West Chester (2017 / No. 3), East Stroudsburg (2014 / No. 5), Bloomsburg (2013 / No. 7), Indiana (2011 / No. 6, 2010 / No. 7, 2010 / No. 8) and LIU Post (2010 / No. 5).

ROCK GETS IN THE PSAC WIN COLUMN
The Mansfield win gave SRU its first PSAC triumph of the year. Slippery Rock goes into the East Stroudsburg game with a 1-3 conference record and tied for eighth in the PSAC standings.

The top six teams in the PSAC standings at the conclusion of the regular season qualify for the conference tournament. With six games remaining in the regular season, Slippery Rock still has plenty of opportunities to climb the league standings to earn its first postseason berth since 2017.

ISNER POSTS FIRST GAME-WINNER
Jordyn Isner provided Slippery Rock with its game-winning goal against Mansfield when she notched her second goal of the season late in the third quarter to lift The Rock to a win over the Mountaineers.

The game-winner was the first of Isner's career. So far this season, she has produced eight points on two goals and four assists while placing 12 of her 17 shot attempts on target.

KARMONICK LENDS HELPING HAND
Samantha Karmonick set up Isner's game-winning goal against Mansfield when she corralled a loose ball off of a Mansfield save before promptly flipping a pass to Isner for the go-ahead score. The assist was the second of the season for Karmonick.

SPARKS SNAPS GOAL DROUGHT
Katelyn Sparks, who scored two goals in The Rock's 4-1 win at Frostburg State on Sept. 15, snapped a five-game goalless streak when she recorded the game-tying goal in The Rock's comeback win over Mansfield.

On the year, Sparks has started six of 10 games played and ranks second on the team in goals scored with three while placing all seven of her shot attempts on target.

THE ROCK'S OFFENSIVE ATTACK
Through 10 games, Trube leads SRU in points (12), total goals (6) and shots on goal (19). In addition to leading the team in assists, Isner is also second with eight points thanks in part to two goals.

The remainder of SRU's point leaders include Sparks (6 – 3G), Leslie Colliver (6 – 2G/2A), Erin Roland (5 – 2G/1A), Lauren Marks (4 - 2G), Bailee Christman (3 – 1G/1A), Nadia Irving (3 – 1G/1A), Karmonick (2 – 2A) and Holly Stiller (1 – 1A).

BURKER RECORDS FOURTH WIN
Goalkeeper Grace Burker moved into a tie with Anna Baldini (1979) and Judith Johns (1986) for the fifth most wins by a freshman goalie in program history after making three saves while allowing just one goal in the win over Mansfield.

For the season, Burker has played all but three quarters (555:00) while recording 46 saves, a .657 save percentage and a .657 goals against average. Burker heads to ESU ranked fourth in the PSAC in saves.

ROCK DEFENDERS COME UP BIG
Slippery Rock has logged defensive saves in two of the last three games as Colliver recorded her first career stop in a close 2-1 loss to IUP on Sept. 29 while Ross tallied a defensive save of her own while also placing two shots on goal in the Mansfield win.

TRUBE RANKED AMONG PROGRAM'S ALL-TIME BEST
Trube enters the ESU game tied with Jane Machuga (1975-78) and Dina Pezzimenti (1989-92) for ninth place on The Rock's career points list at 40 (19 goals / two assists). She is now three points away from moving into a tie with Kailee Krupski (2014-17) for eighth on The Rock's career point ledger.

FIFTH BEST 10-GAME START IN 25 YEARS
The Rock's 4-6 record to the year is tied for the fourth best 10-game start to a season for the program in the last 25 years behind only the 1998 (7-3), 2017 (7-3), 2018 (5-5) and 2012 (6-4) SRU teams.

YOUTH MOVEMENT
Eight Slippery Rock underclassmen (freshmen or sophomores) have started at least one game for The Rock this season. Of the 11 teams in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, only Mansfield (12) has had more underclassmen start a game in 2021.

Only Adelphi (2) and No. 1 Shippensburg (3) have scored multiple goals against East Stroudsburg this year.

• Goalkeeper Amy Supey has been the goalie of record for all 12 ESU games this season. She enters the weekend with a 1.05 GAA, 31 saves and a .721 save percentage.

• Offensively, the Warriors are led by Celeste Veenstra, who has scored six goals in 2021. Jady van Gils and Morgan Mesenbrink have added four goals each while Hannah Barbush has guided the attack with PSAC-high six assists.
