IN HER WORDS
Q: What’s the first concert you went to? What’s the most recent concert you went to?
A: The first concert I went to was a Taking Back Sunday Concert with my siblings! Most recently I went to a Dierks Bentley Concert in Ohio.

Q: What was your favorite subject in school? Why?
A: Science, because almost everything was hands on.

Q: What was your first job growing up?
A: I was a dishwasher at a local restaurant. My nickname was Cinderella.

Q: Tell us about your family.
A: My husband and I met my freshman year in college at Kent State University. We were both there to get an education and play sports! He was on the baseball team and I was on the field hockey team. We have been married for more than three years now and have a handsome fur-child named Ranger. During our downtime, we both enjoy staying active by fixing properties and vacationing with family. Our most recent trips were hiking through Zion National Park and seeing the wild horses in the Costal Carolinas. We also enjoy watching ice hockey…. GO PENS!

Q: When did you know you wanted to go into a career in collegiate athletics?
A: I always loved teaching little kids how to play in high school and I thought it would be so fun to be able to do it as a career. When I went to college I didn’t think it was really a possibility until I told my coach. She helped me get experience in coaching by having me be a coach and counselor at college summer camps. I then ended up then finding a minor at the college called athletic coaching and it helped me get an idea of what coaching is like when you’re not on the field. After I graduated college, I still didn’t think it was a possibility, so I started an internship at Akron General Hospital working in the Cardiac Rehabilitation Center in Ohio. It wasn’t until my coach reached out to me asking if I was still interested, because she knew of an opening I should apply for, that I jumped into coaching. I decided to go for it and it’s been a wild ride ever since!

Q: What was the last book you read? Thoughts on it?
A: Honestly, I get through two or three chapters of a book, then put it down to never pick it up again. I have several unfinished books I can probably tell you nothing about!

Q: What’s your all-time favorite movie?
A: Sweet Home Alabama.

Q: How do you relax?
A: I enjoy a nice glass of wine. I like to kick my feet up and talk to all of my family members, or I like to go on a walk with my dog. It all depends on what type of day I’ve had.

Q: What was your first car? What’s your dream car?
A: My first car was a black 1994 Honda Accord. My dream car would probably be the Jaguar F-Pace. But that’s probably never happening. I would have to win the lottery….. and I probably still wouldn’t get it.

Q: What’s the best advice you ever received and who did it come from?
A: The best advice I received was: “You have to learn to take care of yourself before you can take care of others.”  To me I was able to use this in all aspects of my life growing up. I would consider myself a helper and I would spread myself out too thin. Whenever I thought of this, it would bring me back and make me ask myself the question of what do I need to do for myself right now.

Q: What’s your favorite season/type of weather? Why?
A: Fall! Everything starts to change, from cooler weather to the color of the trees. There's also so many fun activities to do like apple and pumpkin picking.

Q: How did you decide on your pet names?
A: We tried to name our dog (Ranger) based on his personality. He is pretty independent and loves to be outside even in the most extreme weather. When we make him come inside he sits by the door crying to go back out. We always say if he were to go missing or run off, he could probably survive on his own.

Q: Cats or dogs?
|A: Dogs forever and always!

Q: When you go grocery shopping, are you the “Make a List” person or the “Just Wing It” person?
A: I usually make a list but end up forgetting it at home.... I need a better plan.

Q: Where is one place you haven’t visited yet, but you definitely plan to?
A: I’ve always wanted to go to Ireland. Its just beautiful.

Q: Do you listen to podcasts? If so, what are your favorites?
A: Crimejunkies. Its about true crimes that have yet to be solved!

Q: What is your biggest fear?
A: SNAKESSSS!

Q: Can you sing?
A: I sing all the time in the car, but its not very good!

Q: You can only eat one thing the rest of your life, what is it?
A: Cookies all day every day! Chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, M&Ms, peanut butter, you name it, Ill eat it!

Q: Fly or drive for a long trip?
A: Fly! I like to get to where my destination is so I can spent the max amount of time there.

Q: Is a hot dog a sandwich?
A: Ew to hotdogs. There is no way they are considered a sandwich.

Q: Does pineapple belong on pizza?
A: Absolutely!

Q: Sheetz or WaWa?
A: Sheetz.

Q: What’s the last TV show you binged watched?
A: I’ve watched way too many shows because of this pandemic. My most recent would be Selling Sunset, a real estate show. There’s just so many beautiful homes and drama!

Q: What’s one game show or reality show you could go on that you think you could win?
A: The Price is Right.
