• LAST TIME OUT: Behind a goal from senior defender
Liz Wolfe with no time remaining in regulation, the Slippery Rock field hockey team defeated Mercyhurst 3-2 at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium.
• Thoughts of a Slippery Rock upset over Bloomsburg on Saturday are not unfounded as The Rock has knocked off teams ranked in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association three times over the last four years. A season ago, SRU defeated both No. 3 West Chester (4-3) and No. 5 Kutztown (3-2). In 2014 The Rock downed No. 5 East Stroudsburg, 2-1.

• Sophomore forward Kayla Urlich has five Goals and one assist in eight career games against ranked teams.

• One of the most balanced offenses in the PSAC, 10 of The Rock's 23 position players have already scored goals this season. Only West Chester has more goal scorers on the year with 12.
