SCOUTING THE ROCK
• LAST TIME OUT – Slippery Rock picked up its third straight win with a convincing 89-74 road victory at West Liberty on Nov. 22.

• STREAKING – A win over Walsh would give Slippery Rock a four-game winning streak for just the fifth time since 2000-01 (17 years). SRU has 12 winning streaks longer than four games in program history with the school record being 12 in 1999-00.

• ROCK IN NON-CONFERENCE GAMES – Slippery Rock is 12-8 (.600) in non-conference games over the last four seasons.

• CAREER DAY – Brooke Hinderliter had the best offensive game of her career in The Rock's win against West Liberty. The sophomore guard scored a personal-best 29 points on 12-of-14 shooting from the field and a perfect 5-for-5 effort from the free throw line. Additionally, Hinderliter had four assists, just one turnover and three of her six rebounds came on the offensive glass. For the season, Hinderliter leads SRU in scoring at 16.2 points per game while shooting 54.5 percent from the field. She also has recorded team-best per game averages in rebounds (6.6) and assists (2.6).

• BOUNCE BACK GAME – After an uncharacteristically off game in SRU's win against Kutztown on Nov. 19, Ciara Patterson bounced back with a strong performance against West Liberty. In 38 minutes, Patterson scored 21 points, grabbed eight rebounds and made one steal. Patterson is one of three Rock players so far this year to average double figure points per game with 14.3. Defensively, Patterson's seven steals are the second most on the team.

• STILL NOT MISSING MUCH – Madison Johnson, who averages 14.4 points per game, has shot no worse than 40 percent from the field in any of The Rock's five games this season. On the year she has made 55.3 percent (26-for-47) of her field goal attempts, 53.3 percent (8-for-15) of her 3-point shots and 80 percent (12-for-15) of her free throw attempts.

• CONSISTENT REBOUNDER -  LeeAnn Gibson has pulled in at least five rebounds in three of the last four games. Dating back to the end of her freshman season, Gibson has recorded at least five rebounds in 10 of her last 13 games played.

• DEFENSIVE PRESENCE – Skyla O'Connor has had a great impact on The Rock in her first collegiate season with seven steals including two in each of Slippery Rock's last three games.

• PACK REBOUNDING – Slippery Rock ranks second in the PSAC in rebounds per game at 42.6. Helping The Rock to that total has been a group effort that features five players with at least 4.6 rebounds per game in Hinderliter (6.6), Krista Pietropola (5.8), Morgan Henderson (5.4), Mallory Heinle (5.2) and Gibson (4.6). SRU has a +28 rebounding margin over the last three games.

• AVOIDING TURNOVERS – Slippery Rock committed a season-low nine turnovers in its win against West Liberty. The nine turnovers were the fewest committed by The Rock over the last 34 games.

• RECORDS WATCH – Heinle is currently tied for 11th in program history for career offensive rebounds (118). She needs three more to move past Jackie Altenweg and into 10th place. Pietropola has made 65 3-pointers at The Rock and needs three more triples to pass D'Asia Chambers for 14th on the SRU all-time leaderboard.
