MCKINNEY MEMORIAL BENCH DEDICATION
The SRU field hockey program will celebrate the life of former player Meghan McKinney by dedicating a bench outside the locker room in her honor following today's game. All alums and families of alums that attend will be invited to join the current team for a picnic after the dedication.
 
LAST MEETING
Slippery Rock and Bellarmine last played a season ago on Sept. 6, 2015 with BU earning a 3-2 win. Megan McKay and Kailee Krupski each scored goals in the matchup. Kayla Mack earned a defensive save, while goalkeeper Carlee DuMars recorded seven saves. Renee Rosenblum and McKay assisted on The Rock's goals.
 
SERIES HISTORY
Bellarmine holds a 9-3 advantage in the all-time series against SRU. The last Slippery Rock win against Bellarmine was a 3-2 overtime victory during the 2014 season.
 
LAST TIME OUT
Slippery Rock lost at home Sept. 14 against No. 6 Millersville, 3-0. Bellarmine lost a 2-0 game at home against No. 8 Bloomsburg on Sept. 10.

SCOUTING THE ROCK
• McKay enters the matchup tied with Marlene Hall for first place in SRU's history for goals scored in a career with 25. Hall's record has stood for the last 28 years.
 
• McKay, who already holds the program's all-time points record with 62, leads The Rock with seven points off three goals and one assistso far this season.
 
• Renee Rosenblum, Allison Grant, Jordan Barnes, Torri Rose and Hannah Simone have all recorded one goal apiece as well.
 
• Sam Geroski, Brenna McGovern-Lind and Krupski have accounted for all three Slippery Rock assists in 2016.
 
• Liz Wolfe recorded Slippery Rock's first defensive save of the season earlier in the week against Millersville.
 
• Goalkeeper Nicole Bream has played every minute for SRU in 2016 and has recorded 23 saves on 59 shots faced. Bream, who also has two shutouts, comes into the contest with a 1.60 goals against average and a .742 save percentage.
 
• Krupski has two career goals against Bellarmine while McKay has one goal and one assist against the Knights. Rosenblum has registered an assist against Bellarmine and Mack has recorded one defensive save.
 
• Four out of SRU's next five games will be against teams ranked in the top 10 of the National Field Hockey Coaches Association's latest poll.

SCOUTING BELLARMINE
• The Knights have received early contributions from Kathryn Schneidtmiller and Aimee Ilgenfritz. The pair is tied for the team lead in goals with three each, while Merit Harris has two.
 
• Kelsey O'Bryan, Elle Lichte and Anna O'Toole each have one goal.
 
• Defensively, Mary Ringwald has recorded two defensive saves.
 
• Goalkeeper Brittanny Macnab has started in all four games for the Knights and has recorded 11 saves, a 1.32 goals against average and a .688 save percentage.

• Bellarmine started the season with consecutive wins over DePauw, Centre and Seton Hill before losing its first game of the season to Bloomsburg.
