New/Sortable Box Score WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The Slippery Rock University field hockey team snapped its two-game win streak Saturday afternoon when
it fell to No. 2 West Chester, 3-0, at Vonnie Gros Field.
Slippery Rock drops to 2-2 with the loss, while West Chester improves to 4-0.
The Golden Rams, who ranked second in the preseason national rankings, outshot The Rock 23-7 and also held a 15-2 advantage in penalty corners.

Megan McKay each recorded two shots apiece, with one on goal, to lead The Rock's shooting effort.
Marnie Kusakavitch scored her fifth goal of the season for the Golden Rams in the 22nd minute in a one-on-one with SRU goalie
Carlee DuMars.Â
Dayle Paustian put the hosts up 2-0 in the 50th minute with her fourth score this fall.Â
Kusakavitch recorded another goal in the 58th minute on a pass from Alexis Versak to help give the Golden Rams a 3-goal victory.Â
DuMars made 11 saves in the cage for Slippery Rock in her 70 minutes of action. WCU goalie Sarah Krause recorded three saves in the second half.
Slippery Rock will travel to Shippensburg Tuesday for a 2 p.m. contest with the Raiders.Â
