SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Junior forward
D'Asia Chambers recorded her 10th "double-double" of the season Wednesday night in a losing effort as Slippery Rock University dropped a 75-48 decision to visiting Indiana (Pa.) in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division women's basketball action in Morrow Field House.
Chambers finished with game-high totals of 17 points and 12 rebounds for SRU, which with the loss ended the 2013-14 season with a 6-20 overall record and a 3-13 mark in division action.
Sophomore guard
Megan Hardiman scored 14 points and grabbed five rebounds and sophomore wingman player
Aidan Geise collected seven points and seven rebounds for SRU.
Amy Fairman scored a team-high 16 points and snagged eight rebounds for Indiana, which improved its season records to 17-9 overall, 8-8 in PSAC-West action.
Ashley Stoner added 14 points and team-best 11 rebounds, Leslie Stapleton also scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds and Lindsay Stamp collected 11 points and seven rebounds for the Crimson Hawks.
SRU made 17 of 53 (32%) field goal attempts with a 7-of-17 (41%) reading from 3-point range. SRU made seven of 12 (58%) free throws.
Indiana made 28 of 67 (41%) shots from the floor with a 5-for-17 (29%) efficiency from 3-point range and sank 14 of 16 (88%) free throws. The Crimson Hawks also outrebounded SRU by a 47-33 margin and were on the low end of a 19-12 turnover comparison.
The outcome was never in doubt as Indiana roared to a 25-5 lead after 11 minutes of action and held a 44-19 lead at halftime.
The Rock closed the gap to 16 points, 64-48, with 4:15 left to play before Indiana pulled away again to hold its largest lead of the game at the final buzzer.

Katie Rathman … The 19 points scored by The Rock in the first half of represented their third-lowest opening-half output of the season, while the final tally of 48 was the second-lowest of the season.
