SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - In the midst of a season-long seven-game homestand, the Slippery Rock University women's basketball team will step out of conference play for its next three games starting with two games in two days against Penn State Allegheny and Penn State Fayette.

SRU will take on PSU Allegheny on Monday at 6 p.m. and PSU Fayette on Tuesday at 6 p.m.

LAST TIME OUTSlippery Rock cut a 22-point Pitt-Johnstown lead down to just four with two minutes remaining in regulation, but couldn't quite complete the comeback in a 71-65 loss.
Erica Aiello scored a career-high 21 points while
D'Asia Chambers just missed out on a triple-double after recording 17 points, 13 rebounds, seven assists, four steals and two blocks (Box Score).

PSU Allegheny snapped a two-game losing streak via a 67-53 victory against Penn State Du Bois.
PSU Fayette started the Great Ships Challenge with a 101-50 loss at Apprentice.

RECORDSSlippery Rock's loss against Pitt-Johnstown dropped its record to 1-2 overall in 2014-15 and to 0-2 in PSAC-West play. Penn State Allegheny enters Morrow Field House at 3-4 overall and 1-0 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference. At 0-3 on the year, Penn State Fayette is still in search of its first win.

SCOUTING SLIPPERY ROCKThe Rock's defense continues to impress early in the season with a PSAC-best field goal percentage defense of 36.1 in addition to forcing 20 turnovers per game and holding the opposition to 64.6 points per game (ppg), 11 fewer than last year.

Chambers has three double-doubles on the year and ranks second in the PSAC in rebounding (13.2 per game), fifth in assists (5.0), ninth in blocks (1.0) and 10th in scoring (15.8).

Aiello has made 3.0 steals per game, the fifth most of any player in the PSAC, to go with solid offensive production of 13.0 ppg on 53 percent shooting.
Megan Hardiman has 11 rebounds in her last two games.
Danielle Garroutte has been one of the most efficient players for SRU this season having made 11 of her 17 field goal attempts.
Taylor Siggers is coming off of an 11-point, three-steal outing against Pitt-Johnstown.

500 CLUBWith 13 rebounds against Pitt-Johnstown, Chambers increased her career rebounding total to 505 to become the 13th Slippery Rock player in school history to pull down more than 500 rebounds. She currently ranks 12th all-time in rebounds and could climb to as high as fourth in The Rock record books if she maintains her current per game average through the end of the year.

SCOUTING PENN STATE ALLEGHENYChristina Floyd has been dominant to start the season for PSU Allegheny, tallying per game averages of 17.3 points, 18.2 rebounds and 2.5 steals while shooting 54.8 percent from the field. Mandi Johnston and Tori Johnstown are both double figures scorers as well at 15.8 ppg and 10.3 ppg, respectively. Mandi Johnston is Allegheny's top ball distributor with 5.4 assists a night.

SCOUTING PENN STATE FAYETTEFayette averages 67.7 ppg and shoots 40.9 percent from the field. Courtney Haines has averaged 16 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. Just a freshman, Hayley Moreland has scored 14.3 ppg early in her collegiate career.
