Records: Slippery Rock enters Tuesday's contest at 9-6 overall and 7-4 in PSAC action. The Rock brings a five-game winning streak into the match after defeating Indiana (Pa.), for the first time since 2011, 1-0 in overtime Saturday night.

The third-ranked Raiders of Shippensburg enter the match at 11-3 overall and 8-3 in league play. The Raiders are coming off a 1-0 defeat at Mercyhurst after winning its previous three contests.

PSAC Playoff Race: With the top six teams making the playoffs, Slippery Rock is currently slated as the five-seed. With three games remaining, The Rock holds a 1.5 game lead over Kutztown and Mercyhurst, who are tied for the sixth-seed.

All-Time Series: Shippensburg holds a 37-6-1 advantage in the all-time series over Slippery Rock dating back to 1979. The Raiders have won 25 straight contests since The Rock last recorded a win in the series, a 3-1 decision in 1998. Shippensburg defeated The Rock 2-0 earlier this fall (

A Special Season: With three games remaining on the schedule, the 2014 Slippery Rock field hockey squad has already matched or set several program records for a single season.
    The Rock's overtime win at IUP Saturday night marks its first over the Crimson Hawks in seven tries since 2011, pushed its win total to nine and moved the 2014 team into sole-possession of the 4th best single-season win total in program history.
    The win total also marks the first time since 1988 that Slippery Rock amassed nine wins in a season, when the '88 team finished with a 10-3-1 overall record. With another win, The Rock would match the 2nd highest win total in SRU history, a record held by the 1976 and 1988 teams.
    Slippery Rock's current five-game win streak matches the 1987 squad's record for longest win streak in program history, as the '87 Rock team tallied a program-best 13 wins.Â

Scouting The Rock: Slippery Rock has posted advantages in goals scored (22-19) and total shots (160-150), despite opponents holding the edge in penalty corners (127-118) through 15 games. SRU ranks 8th in the PSAC with a 1.44 scoring average and has limited opponents to a 1.20 goals against average, good for 3rd in the conference and 5th nationally.

The senior-duo of
Kelsey Gustafson and
Allison Shade has paced the offensive attack for The Rock. Gustafson has tallied a team-best five goals and an assist, while Shade has notched four goals and a pair of assists.
Michelle Couch has tallied three goals and a pair of assists, followed by
Megan McKay with a goal and team-high five assists.
Kailee Krupski has recorded three goals, while
Anna Swearingen rounds out the top point scorers with two goals and an assist.
Baylee Childress ranks 4th in the NCAA with seven defensive saves and anchors a strong defensive unit along with Gustafson, whose five defensive saves rank 2nd in the PSAC and 7th nationally.
Kayla Mack adds three denials to round out the stout defensive line that leads all of NCAA D-II in defensive saves.

Carlee DuMars has played every minute in goal and is 9-6 with a 1.20 goals against average and 0.789 save percentage. She has recorded three shutouts, 71 saves and allowed 19 goals in just over 1111 minutes of action. DuMars ranks 3rd in the PSAC in total saves and 4th in goals against average and save percentage.
Scouting the Raiders: Shippensburg has posted advantages in goals scored (29-9), total shots (237-103) and penalty corners (140-84) through 14 games over opponents this fall. The Raiders rank 7th in the PSAC with a 2.07 scoring average and have limited opponents to a 0.64 goals against average, good for 2nd in the conference and 2nd nationally.
Tori Ricker paces the offensive attack with eight goals and an assist, followed by Emily Barnard with five goals and a pair of assists. Kendall Beck has tallied three goals and an assist, while Katelyn Grazan and Suzanne Muller have notched two goals and three assists apiece. Lucy Kauffman leads the team with seven assists, while Lizzie Frombach, Molly Stuart and Cassie Rawa round out the balanced attack with two goals each.
Ally Mooney has started 13 of the Raiders' 14 games and is 10-3 with a 0.70 goals against average and 0.830 save percentage. She has recorded five shutouts, 44 saves and allowed nine goals in just under 900 minutes of action. Mooney ranks 2nd in the PSAC in goals against average and is tied for 1st in save percentage.

Head coaches: Julie Swiney, the 2012 PSAC-West Coach of the Year, enters her fifth season at the helm for Slippery Rock. She has led The Rock to four consecutive six-win seasons since 2010, including the fourth best record in school history with eight wins in 2012. After not reaching the PSAC playoffs since 1987, Swiney led The Rock to its first playoff berth in 2011 and again in 2012. Before coming to Slippery Rock, Swiney served as American International's head coach from 2006-2009. A 2003 graduate of The College of William and Mary, Swiney was a three-year starter in field hockey for the Tribe. She led the Tribe to a Top-20 national ranking in each of her three seasons and a pair of appearances in the NCAA Division I Tournament.

Bertie Landes, a member of the NFHCA Hall of Fame, enters her 16th season as Shippensburg University's head field hockey coach in 2014. Her career record, through 34 seasons, is 438-120-17. That makes for a career winning percentage of .777 – which is the 10th-best mark in NCAA history. Landes also ranks third all-time among NCAA Division II coaches and 11th among all divisions for career victories. Landes became a national champion in 2013, as Shippensburg University claimed a 2-1 victory over LIU Post to win the NCAA Division II Field Hockey Championship. Her efforts led to being named the NFHCA Division II National Coach of the Year. Prior to Shippensburg, Landes was the head coach at Philadelphia Biblical (Cairn) University for 19 years, where she compiled a 184-56-16 overall record. A former member of the United States National Field Hockey Squad, Landes was a defender for seven years on teams that toured Europe, South America, Rhodesia and South Africa before retiring from the squad in 1975. A standout player at Lock Haven, Landes was instrumental on a defense that allowed just 22 goals in four years, a span of 33 games, while posting 15 shutouts.
