Field Hockey The Rock dropped a 6-0 decision to No. 1-ranked Bloomsburg Sunday at Thompson Stadium

Slippery Rock, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University field hockey team fell to the No. 1-ranked Bloomsburg, 6-0, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference crossover matchup Sunday at N. Kerr Thompson Stadium.

The Rock had three total shots by juniors Samantha Badaczewski and Katie Krouse. Goalie Lisa Belcastro allowed six goals and recorded nine saves in the loss.

Bloomsburg took 22 total shots with 15 shots on goal. Sophomore Amanda Riley scored twice and added an assist to lead the Huskies. Goalie Caitlin Koczynski was awarded the shutout win. 

The Rock returns to action Wednesday with a PSAC-Western Division matchup at Indiana (Pa.).
