BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University field hockey team lost 4-0 to Bloomsburg on Monday afternoon. The loss is the fourth straight game against a nationally ranked team. 

In the 13th minute, Bloomsburg (12-1 overall, 5-1 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Eastern Division) struck first with Alexis Weber scoring her third goal of the season off of a pass from Amanda Riley. In the 25th minute, the Huskies struck again when Sandy Anceravage scored her fifth goal of the season to make the halftime score 2-0. 

At the 42 minute mark, Bloomsburg's Chelsea Due scored her sixth goal of the season off a penalty corner from Aime Sgarlat making the score 3-0. Riley then scored her 14th goal of the season at 57:15 off a crossing pass from Amanda Deloy to seal the final score, 4-0. 

The Rock did not record a shot in the game, while junior goalie Lisa Belcastro recorded nine saves in the loss. SRU falls to 2-10 overall and 1-4 in the PSAC-West. 

The Rock returns to action Wednesday traveling to Seton Hill. The game will start at 4 pm.
