SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University field hockey team's season came to an end Monday when it was announced that Tuesday's game at Mansfield has been cancelled.

The Rock was scheduled to travel to Mansfield tomorrow for a makeup game that would be the final contest of the season for each team, but the field conditions have been deemed unplayable and an alternate field could not be secured.

The Rock finished the season Saturday with a 3-1 win over Bellarmine (Ky.). The win was the third of the season for Slippery Rock, which finishes at 3-16 overall. Three wins marks the best win total the team has posted since the 2006 season.
