SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- Senior forward
Jennifer Venet (pictured above) scored a goal and had an assist Tuesday afternoon but it wasn't enough to lead the Green and White to victory.
Millersville, after trailing by a 2-0 margin seven minutes into the game, scored three unanswered goals to hand SRU a 3-2 setback in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference "crossover" action at N. Kerr Thompson Stadium.
The loss was the eighth straight suffered by The Rock and dropped the Green and White's season record to 2-9.
Millersville recorded its third win in the last four games and improved its season record to 3-6.

Lisa Belcastro was called upon to record 13 saves in Tuesday's game as the hosts were outshot by a 20-19 margin. Millersville netminder Sara Dickinson had 10 saves.
Venet assisted on the first Rock goal, scored by sophomore forward
Samantha Badaczewski in the fifth minute of play, and converted an assist from freshman forward
Ashley Adams into the second goal of the game in the seventh minute.
The goal was Venet's team-high fifth of the season, while the assist was her second.
Badaczewski's goal was her fourth of the season; Adams collected her second assist of the campaign.
Millersville got on the scoreboard with a goal in the 17th minute and tied the score at 2-2 with a 22nd-minute tally before getting the winning point in the 56th minute.
The Rock, which played four straight games against nationally ranked teams prior to Tuesday, jump right back into the fire Saturday when they travel to top-ranked Indiana (Pa.) for a 7:30 p.m. game.
The Green and White then return home to entertain No. 9 Mansfield at 4 p.m. Oct. 8 before visiting second-ranked and two-time defending national champion Bloomsburg for a noon game Oct. 11.
Notes:
Belcastro entered Tuesday's game ranked first in the nation among NCAA Division II goalies with an 11.7 saves per game average. She was ranked eighth in save percentage (.765) and 20th in goals against average (3.65).
