INDIANA, Pa. -- The 22nd-ranked Rock won its second team championship in as many competitions when it reigned over Saturday's IUP Invitational.
The Rock effort was paced by
Jen Harpp, who won the individual title with a time of 23:04 on the 6,000-meter course.
SRU teammate
Jaime Wright was close on Harpp's heels and finished second in the individual race with a time of 23:06, while a third Rock runner,
Laura Mucho, claimed third place with a 24:08 time.
Rounding out the top five Rock runners were
Crystal Burnick, who placed seventh with a time of 24:51, and Rebecca Younger, the No. 10 finisher with a time of 25:10.
The Rock is idle until Oct. 4, when it will host the SRU Invitational at Cooper's Lake Campground south of Slippery Rock.
