It was determined after the match that sophomore midfielder Allie Hartman assisted on the goal.

Sophomore goalie Lisa Belcastro recorded eight saves for SRU, which suffered its 10th straight loss and saw its season record fall to 2-11 overall, 0-5 in PSAC-W action.

Mansfield evened its season records at 7-7 overall, 3-3 in division play with Wednesday's win.

The Mountaineers scored their first goal in the fourth minute of action and got a second tally in the 23rd minute to hold a 2-0 lead at halftime.

The guests held a 16-14 advantage in total shots and a 10-7 edge in shots on goal.

SRU returns to action at 11 a.m. Saturday, when it will visit two-time defending NCAA Division II national champion and current No. 2-ranked Bloomsburg for a PSAC "crossover" game.
