SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University men's and women's cross country teams will travel to the Youthtowne Fields in Clinton, Pennsylvania Friday morning for the RMU Colonial Invite hosted by Robert Morris.

FIELD BREAKDOWN
Friday's field will include a mix of NCAA Division I, II and III programs, including five teams from Division II's Atlantic Region.
 
ROCK SWEEPS PSAC AWARDS
Slippery Rock swept the PSAC Athlete of the Week awards this week with Easton Adamczyk and Carissa Flynn being recognized for their winning efforts at Edinboro last week.
 
ROCK MEN WIN OPENER AT EDINBORO
Slippery Rock is coming off a team win at the Doug Watts Open last week in the season opener with Adamczyk leading the way with an individual win. It marked the first collegiate XC win of his career. The Rock put all five scorers in the top nine at Edinboro with Blake Glass in sixth, Michael Gauntner in seventh, Eli Schreiber in eighth and Ty Fiscus in ninth. Scotty McConnell (16th) and Colton Adolph (19th) rounded out the top seven.
 
ROCK WOMEN TAKE SECOND AT EDINBORO
The SRU women are coming off a second place finish in the team race at Edinboro last week, led by Fynn with the individual title, which also marked the first collegiate XC win of her career. SRU's scorers last week included Caroline Wilson (5th), Sydney Heltzell (11th), Marabelle Thornberry (13th) and Adi Jackson (14th). Rylie Teapole (18th) and Brynleigh Moody (21st) rounded out the top seven.
