LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Slippery Rock University running back JayJay Jordan earned his fifth Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week award this season when he was selected as the Western Division offensive honoree Monday by the league office.

Jordan, a senior from Reading, Pennsylvania, has now been recognized four times as the PSAC West Offensive Athlete of the Week and once as the Special Teams Athlete of the Week this season.

The latest honor comes after he rushed for 225 yards and two touchdowns in just shy of three quarters of work Saturday in The Rock's 48-14 win at Clarion. Jordan averaged 11.8 yards per carry in the game and rushed for his 20th and 21st touchdowns of the season while increasing his own SRU single-season record with his 25th total touchdown this fall.

Jordan's 21 rushing touchdowns in nine games this year tie the SRU single-season record that was set by LaMonte Coleman in 1994.

His 25 total touchdowns this year are the most among all NCAA football players at any level.

Slippery Rock will look to complete a perfect regular season with a 4 p.m. home game Saturday against Edinboro in the annual Salute to Military and First Responders game.
