Allman, Battalini sweep PSAC West weekly awards

Slippery Rock women’s soccer players, Leah Allman and Lilia Battalini, swept the final PSAC West weekly awards of the season, the conference office announced Friday.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Slippery Rock University women's soccer players, Leah Allman and Lilia Battalini, swept the final Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division weekly awards of the season, the conference office announced Friday.

Allman, a senior goalkeeper from Olmsted Falls, Ohio, and Battalini, a sophomore from Beaver, Pennsylvania, earned Slippery Rock its fourth and fifth PSAC West weekly awards this season, as well as its 58th and 59th PSAC weekly awards overall since 2004.

Allman's PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Week was the sixth of her career, placing her second in program history behind Emma Yoder's (2018-22) 12 PSAC West weekly awards. Battalini's PSAC West Athlete of the Week was the first of her career, making her the 26th different athlete in program history to take home a PSAC weekly award.

Allman and Battalini guided Slippery Rock to a 1-0 week, clinching its second consecutive and sixth PSAC West title overall. The first and only other instance of back-to-back regular season titles for The Rock came in their first two PSAC West titles in 2003-04.

In a 2-0 victory at Indiana University (Pa.), Battalini secured the game-winning goal off a set piece in the 34th minute. Battalini took two shots and landed one on goal in the contest. In goal, Allman made three saves to secure her 14th win of the season to go along with her seventh clean sheet of 2026.

On the season, Battalini ranks third on SRU in points with 15 on six goals and three assists. The sophomore's sixth goals is tied for the team-lead with Abby Paterline and Sophia Palermo, while her three helpers sit tied for fourth with three other Rock players.

Allman has started all 18 games in goal and has played 1,516 minutes, holding a 0.71 goals against average and a .745 save percentage on 35 saves.

Slippery Rock ends the regular season with a 14-2-2 record overall with a 13-1-2 mark inside the PSAC West. The Rock will be back in action against Millersville/Bloomsburg in the PSAC Tournament Quarterfinals 1 p.m. Nov. 3 at James Egli Field. Slippery Rock has home field advantage throughout the entirety of the prospective PSAC Tournament.
