SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University Athletic Communication Office and WKBN-TV will partner for a live television broadcast of The Rock football team's home game against No. 8 California (Pa.) next Saturday, Sept. 27.

The game will kick off at 6:02 p.m. as the WKBN College Football Game of the Week and will air live to viewers in the Youngstown, Ohio television markets. It will also be broadcast on the free WKBN+ television apps for viewers outside of the Youngstown market and will be simulcast on the Rock Athletics Digital Network, where SRU broadcasts more than 100 athletics events each year.

"This marks the fourth year of our partnership with WKBN and we are thrilled to have them back to broadcast one of the top games on the Division II schedule," said

The game will air live on the following channels for viewers in the Youngstown, Ohio TV markets:

The Slippery Rock Athletic Communication Office will also simulcast the WKBN-TV broadcast on the
Rock Athletics Digital Network and the
PSAC Sports Digital Network, allowing fans access to the game through their normal viewing outlets if they cannot access the WKBN feeds.

Slippery Rock fans can download the Rock Athletics Digital Network app for free on Roku, Amazon Fire, Apple TV and Android TV devices and compatible smart TVs. The app and all live and on-demand broadcasts are available for free. Simply search for "Rock Athletics Digital Network" in the respective app stores on those devices to download the app.

Slippery Rock and California (Pa.) both enter their games this week with 2-0 records and top 10 national rankings. No. 4 Slippery Rock will host Shippensburg Saturday night and No. 8 California (Pa.) will host Lock Haven Saturday. Wins by both teams this week could set up a top 10 clash for a rematch of the 2024 Super Region One title game to open PSAC Western Division play next Saturday night.Â
