SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University women's track & field team hit 18 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference qualifying marks and two NCAA provisional marks at the SRU Last Chance Meet Friday at the William Lennox Track.
 
The two NCAA marks came from athletes that had already met the NCAA standard in their events with Sarah Corrie winning the shot put and Allie Taylor winning the pole vault.
 
Taylor upped her career-best in the vault to 3.85 meters while Corrie landed her second-best throw this season at 14.42 meters.
 
Slippery Rock won seven total events Friday including two on the track and five in the field.
 
In addition to the shot put and the pole vault in the field, SRU also picked up wins in the long jump with Baylee Blauser (5.79m), the high jump with Paige Griffith (1.60m) and the javelin with Madylin Wolter (37.73m).
 
SRU won the 4x100-meter relay with Samantha Gilbert, Regan Johnson, Layne Miller and Jianna Long clocking a time of 47.01 seconds and the final win on the track came from Maddie Grillo, who took the 1,500-meter run in 5:04.20.

Slippery Rock will now prepare to host the 2025 PSAC Championships next Thursday through Saturday, May 8-10. The full meet schedule is available HERE. There is no admission charge for Thursday. Tickets are required for entry on Friday and Saturday. Tickets will be available for purchase next week at THIS SITE.
