SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University women's track & field team recorded 16 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference automatic qualifying marks and three NCAA provisional marks at the Paul Kaiser Classic that wrapped up Saturday evening from Shippensburg University.

The three NCAA marks all came in winning efforts in the field with one each in the pole vault, shot put and long jump.
Â
Baylee Blauser led the way with a win in the long jump with a career-best leap of 5.86 meters to lead four SRU jumpers to at least the PSAC standard in the event.
Samantha Gilbert was fourth at 5.66 meters, followed by
Aleks Brozeski in fifth at 5.57 meters and
Cassidy Davis in seventh at 5.46 meters. Blauser and Brozeski also hit the PSAC mark in the triple jump with Blauser taking fourth with a leap of 11.40 meters and Brozeski finishing fifth at 11.33 meters.

Allie Taylor cleared a career-best height of 3.80 meters to win the pole vault.
Grace Parrett also met the PSAC standard in fifth at 3.45 meters.

Sarah Corrie led four SRU shot put throwers to top eight finishes with a win and an NCAA mark of 14.39 meters, her second-best effort this spring.
Becca Martin was second at 13.45 meters with
Olivia Heckman placing third at 12.83 meters to give SRU a sweep of the top three podium places.
Autumn Stewart was eighth at 12.11 meters.

The Rock also grabbed two more PSAC marks in the throws with
Sydney Hale and
Reese Skiba meeting the standard in the discus. Hale was sixth at 38.93 meters and Skiba was ninth at 37.21 meters.

SRU registered two PSAC marks on the track with
Samantha Gilbert leading the way with a runner-up finish in the 100-meter dash in 12.00 seconds.
Skye Hackathorn closed out the top efforts on the track with a 16th place showing in the 1,500-meter run in 4:53.46.

Slippery Rock will host the SRU Last Chance Meet next Friday as a final tune-up before hosting the PSAC Championships May 8-10.
