SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University women's lacrosse team kept its position in both Division II national polls when the updated rankings were announced Monday. The Rock stayed at No. 14 in the USA Lacrosse Magazine poll and No. 21 in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association rankings.

Slippery Rock stays put after a 1-1 week in South Carolina last week after posting a 13-7 win at Newberry, which is getting votes this week in the USA Lacrosse poll, and falling 10-9 in overtime at Lander, which climbed to No. 13 this week in the USA Lacrosse poll and moved into the rankings at No. 22 in the IWLCA poll.

The Rock own a 5-1 overall record and are four games into a stretch of five straight road games entering the beginning of PSAC West play this Saturday at Gannon. SRU is 3-1 on the current road trip so far with all four of those opponents at least receiving votes in one of this week's national polls.

No. 3 West Chester leads five PSAC teams in the IWLCA rankings this week, which are the rankings generally used by the NCAA throughout the season. Kutztown held steady at No. 12 this week. East Stroudsburg remained at No. 13 this week after falling to West Chester and No. 10 Adelphi to slip to 3-3 on the year. Seton Hill continues to lead the PSAC West teams in the rankings after holding steady at No. 15 for the second week in a row. Slippery Rock rounds out the PSAC teams in the rankings at No. 21.

The Rock will close out a five-game road swing and open PSAC West play Saturday with a 1 p.m. game at Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania.
