SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University field hockey team will wrap up the bulk of its non-conference schedule this weekend with two games in back-to-back days.

The Rock will first journey to Shippensburg University for an 11 a.m. Saturday tilt against the second-ranked Raiders before returning home to host Newberry College 12 p.m. Sunday at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium.

Slippery Rock brings a 2-1 record into its two-game weekend after opening the season with a 1-0 win against Frostburg State and a 5-4 triumph at Adelphi followed by a 4-1 setback against No. 9 Pace.

Slippery Rock's offensive attack in three games this season has been spearheaded by the senior duo of

SCOUTING THE RAIDERS
Fresh off a 2-0 victory over No. 1 Kutztown on Wednesday, the Raiders welcome The Rock having won five straight games to open the season and outscoring their opponents 21-1.

Shippensburg leads the nation in GAA (0.20), save percentage (.950) and scoring margin (+4.00) while ranking fourth in goals per game (4.20), points per game (11.00) and assists per game (2.60).

The Raiders have already received goals from 10 different athletes this season, led by Agus Garibaldi's five. Garibaldi, who scored twice against The Rock last year, has also assisted on three goals for a team-leading 13 points.

SCOUTING THE WOLVES
The undefeated Wolves, which will play Mansfield at SRU Saturday in a neutral site game, have earned their undefeated record by way of a 7-0 win against Coker followed by three consecutive one-goal victories against Adelphi (4-3), Limestone (2-1) and Belmont Abbey (2-1).
