Both teams enter the game with 14-3 overall records. Two of The Rock's three losses came in overtime road games, including one against Seton Hill that ended up giving the Griffins the No. 1 seed in the playoffs. Lock Haven's three losses were all in the PSAC West, including a pair of losses against Slippery Rock and one loss against Seton Hill.

The PSAC Tournament field is made up of all six teams in the NCAA Atlantic Region ranking. Undefeated West Chester is the top seed in the East Division and will play the winner of West No. 2 seed Slippery Rock and No. 3 seed Lock Haven in the semifinals Friday at Seton Hill. SHU is the No. 1 seed in the West and will host the winner Tuesday's game between East Division No. 2 Kutztown and No. 3 East Stroudsburg.

REGIONAL RANKINGS
The updated regional rankings will come out Wednesday before the NCAA announces the 2024 Division II Tournament field Sunday night. Both SRU and Lock Haven were in the rankings last week, but were on the outside looking in at the four qualifying spots. SRU was ranked No. 5 and Lock Haven was No. 6. West Chester sat atop the rankings, followed by Kutztown, Seton Hill and East Stroudsburg in positions two through four.

Lock Haven owns a 36-9-1 advantage in the all-time series that began back in 1976, but Slippery Rock has had the upper hand lately. The Rock have won the last five straight meetings between the teams, including a 14-12 comeback win on the road and a 22-9 home victory earlier this spring. SRU also swept the series last year with 17-9 and 14-8 wins.

Slippery Rock exploded for eight goals in the opening period on the way to a 22-9 win over then 15th ranked Lock Haven to complete a regular season sweep over the Bald Eagles. It marked the only road loss of the season for Lock Haven, which finished the regular season with an 8-1 road record.
Charleigh Rondeau pulled down 18 draw controls to lead SRU to a 28-6 advantage in draw controls, which helped lead to a 32-16 edge in total shots.

PLAYOFF BOUND FOR THIRD TIME EVER
Slippery Rock is in the PSAC Playoffs for just the third time ever and the first time since 2018. The Rock brought lacrosse back as a varsity sport at the Division II level in 2007 and made their first PSAC Tournament in 2017. SRU is still looking for its first postseason win since bringing the sport back and owns an 0-2 record in PSAC Tournament games with losses in both 2017 and 2018. The Rock are hosting their first-ever playoff game after being on the road in both 2017 and 2018.

Slippery Rock saw a handful of records fall in last week's game at Mercyhurst.
Charleigh Rondeau broke her own single-game record with 21 draw controls to extend her single-season record to 169 and her career record to 529.

Slippery Rock has won at least 10 games for the third year in a row after winning 10 games in both 2022 and 2023, marking the eighth 10-win season in program history. Head coach

Reagan Richeson played her first meaningful minutes of the season in the comeback win at Lock Haven earlier this year, scoring four goals and helping lead SRU to the win. She then tallied a career-high six goals in the home win over Lock Haven and enters this game with 10 goals against the Bald Eagles in two games this year.

Lauren Searles has at least three points in each of her last nine games and has soared to a new career-high with 59 points on 42 goals and 17 assists this year. She had 12 points in two games last week, including eight in a win at Mercyhurst to close the regular season.

RONDEAU IN THE DRAW CIRCLE
Charleigh Rondeau owns the SRU single-game (21), single-season (169) and career (529) records for draw controls. She became the first player in SRU history to reach 400 career draw controls earlier this season and then became the first player to hit 500 as well. She now has 169 draws on the season, which is 73 more than any other player in the PSAC. Her 529 draw controls rank third among all active women's lacrosse players at any level of the NCAA, trailing only Brittney White from Division II Lee (584) and Caroline Wise from Division III Ithaca (564). This spring, she ranks first among all players in Division II with an average of 9.94 draw controls per game.

RONDEAU STANDS ALONE AT SRU
Charleigh Rondeau is one of just five players in program history with at least 100 draw controls, 100 points, 100 ground balls, 60 goals, 50 caused turnovers and 30 assists (Amy Halls, Casey Quinn, Katie Roof, ShyAnne Toomer). Of those other four, Rondeau is the only one with at least 200 draw controls.

Camryn Whipple has racked up 70 points on 30 goals and 40 assists this spring, which is a new career-high for her and ranks third all-time at SRU. The 40 assists broke Emily Benham's former single-season record (37). She became the fourth player in program history to reach 60 career assists and now has 66 over the last three seasons to rank No. 2 all-time, trailing Emma VanDenburg (74) by 8 for the all-time career record. Her 70 points this spring are one point shy of tying for the No. 2 in single-season history at SRU.

Searles has climbed to No. 13 on the scoring ledger with 113 points and Rondeau is up to No. 18 with 106 points. Searles' 85 goals are the 12th highest total in program history.

Gillian O'Rourke became the all-time goalie wins leader (37 wins currently) at SRU earlier this season and has climbed up to No. 2 all-time at SRU in career saves with 456 stops. O'Rourke is 14-3 on the season and led the PSAC West in goals against average (8.10) while ranking second in the PSAC West in save percentage (.477). She enters this game ranked seventh nationally in Division II in goals against average.

Former Slippery Rock assistant coach Lindsay Reese is in her ninth season as head coach at Lock Haven, where she has the team off to a career-best 14-3 start this spring. Reese was an assistant at The Rock for the 2011 and 2012 seasons, helping SRU to back-to-back 11+ win seasons and a total of 23 victories over two years.
