Westminster Results
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University women's track & field team recorded 18 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference qualifying marks, one NCAA provisional mark and five event wins at the Westminster Invitational that wrapped up Saturday evening from Westminster College.

The Westminster meet was one of three meets SRU is competing in this week. The multi-event athletes competed at Susquehanna Thursday and Friday (
recap here) and the distance runners are competing at Bucknell Saturday and Sunday (recap available Sunday evening).

The highlight of the day for SRU Saturday came from
Sarah Corrie, who recorded a season-best and NCAA provisional mark of 14.26 meters to win the shot put. That effort moves Corrie up to No. 19 on the Division II list. She led three SRU athletes to top four finishes in the shot put with
Becca Martin taking second (13.16 meters) and
Olivia Heckman finishing fourth (12.66m). Corrie also took third in the discus throw with a mark of 36.85 meters.

SRU won two of the throwing events at Westminster with
Tiffany Jolayemi winning the hammer throw with a mark of 47.18 meters.
Â
Kendall Grossman won the pole vault to lead a trio of SRU athletes to at least the PSAC standard after she cleared 3.63 meters.
Allie Taylor was fifth at 3.48 meters and
Hanna Zeiler was seventh at 3.33 meters.

Cassidy Davis and
Paige Griffith both cleared 1.55 meters to place third and fourth in the high jump and
Aleks Brozeski was third in the triple jump with a leap of 11.30 meters to round out the PSAC qualifying efforts in the field.

Thai-Lin Pierce won the 100-meter dash in 12.26 seconds to lead SRU to a 1-2 finish with
Regan Johnson finishing second in 12.32 seconds. Pierce was also third in the 200-meter dash in 25.52 seconds with Johnson taking fourth in 25.71 seconds as that duo recorded a pair of PSAC marks each.

Chaley Younkin won the 100-meter hurdles in 14.98 seconds to lead SRU to four PSAC marks in the two hurdle events.
Chalondra Clarke was sixth in 15.52 seconds in the 100m hurdles.
Rachel Veneziano took second in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:06.02 with Younkin finishing sixth in 1:07.43.

Younkin and Veneziano also teamed with
Lydia Reed and
Annasophia Stauffer to place second in the 4x100-meter relay in 49.90 seconds.

The Rock also got top five finishes on the track from
Lydia Reed,
Shannon McCullough and Stauffer in the 400-meter dash with Reed taking second (1:00.94), McCuollough finishing third (1:01.21) and Stauffer finishing fourth (1:01.34).
Sydney Pitcovich capped the top five efforts on the track with a fifth place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 12:29.92. In the field, Davis and
Autumn Wyatt took second and third in the long jump with Davis leaping 5.38 meters and Wyatt posting a mark of 5.29 meters. Wyatt was also fifth in the triple jump (10.90m).
Eva Tokar took second in the javelin (35.88 meters), while
Savannah Schneck was third in the hammer (43.84 meters) and Martin was fifth in the hammer (38.92 meters).

Slippery Rock will continue competition this weekend deep into the evening hours Saturday at Bucknell (
