SRU'S PSAC SCHOLAR-ATHLETES - 1997-PRESENT

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - A total of 256 Slippery Rock University student-athletes were recognized as Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Scholar-Athletes for maintaining above a 3.25 cumulative GPA following the 2022-23 academic year, the league office announced Wednesday.

A total of 157 females and 99 males represented The Rock on the list of 2022-23 PSAC Scholar-Athletes.

More than 78 percent of SRU's female student-athletes finished the academic year with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher, while just over 44 percent of male student-athletes finished the year with at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA. In total, 60.2 percent of Slippery Rock's 425 total student-athletes concluded the year with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher.

Slippery Rock's student-athletes combined to post a 3.442 cumulative QPA following the 2022-23 academic year, which is the third-highest overall average among all 18 PSAC institutions and ranks first among the top five programs in the 2022-23 Dixon Trophy standings. SRU is the only institution in the PSAC to rank in the top three in both the Dixon Trophy standings and the overall QPA of its student-athletes.

Of the 256 SRU student-athletes honored Wednesday, 48 maintain a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Across the conference, the PSAC saw a total of 3,794 student-athletes from the 18 league members be recognized, marking an average of 52 percent of the 7,320 total student-athletes in the league.

12 institutions in the PSAC produced at least 200 scholar-athletes.
