PSAC Announcement
Â
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Slippery Rock University landed four student-athletes on the Winter Academic All-Conference team when the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced the latest awardees for its newest academic honor.
Â
The Academic All-PSAC teams were debuted in the fall and will be announced after each of the three seasons – fall, winter and spring – to increase academic recognition for high-achieving student-athletes. Undergraduate and graduate student-athletes must meet strict academic and athletic participation requirements to qualify.
Â
Those requirements included owning at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average entering this spring and having completed at least four full semesters of academic work on campus. Transfers that have not been at SRU for four full semesters and freshmen and sophomores that have not completed at least four semesters do not qualify.
Â
For the winter team sports (men's basketball, women's basketball), student-athletes that met the academic criteria must have also played in at least 70 percent of the team's games to qualify. The indoor track & field teams will be combined with the outdoor track & field teams and those athletes will be honored following the spring semester.
Â
The PSAC honored 121 total student-athletes across all 17 schools this winter. In addition to recognizing men's and women's basketball players, the league also recognized wrestlers, swimmers and divers. Slippery Rock has now had 33 total student-athletes recognized between the fall (29) and the winter (4) Academic All-PSAC teams in 2025-26.
