PSAC PLAYOFF SCENARIO
Slippery Rock is currently in the third and final playoff position in the PSAC West with two games to play. The Rock can clinch that spot Wednesday with a win at Edinboro AND a Mercyhurst loss on the road at Gannon. If SRU and Mercyhurst both win their respective games Wednesday, it will set up a win-and-in situation Saturday at Slippery Rock when Mercyhurst visits for the regular season finale. Seton Hill and Indiana (Pa.) have already locked up playoff spots from the West, while West Chester, East Stroudsburg and Kutztown have already locked up the three spots in the Eastern Division. SRU is looking to make its first PSAC playoff appearance since 2018 and just its third postseason appearance since bringing the sport back at the varsity level in 2007 (SRU played from 1976-91, dropped the sport after the 1991 season and brought it back as an NCAA sport in 2007).

RECORDS
Slippery Rock enters the game with a 9-6 overall record and a 5-5 mark in PSAC West games. Four of SRU's six losses have come to nationally ranked teams and the other two losses were to regionally ranked Indiana (Pa.). The Rock are coming off a 20-8 loss on the road at IUP Saturday in what was the most lopsided loss of the season and the first time since March 18 against Seton Hill that SRU was not in a position to contend for a win in the second half. Edinboro enters the game with a 2-13 overall record and an 0-10 mark in PSAC games. The Fighting Scots are riding a 12-game losing skid that dates back to March 11.

ALL-TIME SERIES
Slippery Rock is a perfect 17-0 in the all-time series that began in 2009 when Edinboro began competing at the Division II level. The Rock have outscored Edinboro 72-4 over the last three wins, including a 21-2 victory at Slippery Rock back in early April. SRU is 8-0 all-time on the road at Edinboro.

LAST MEETING – APRIL 6, 2023  |  Box Score
Slippery Rock scored the first seven goals of the game and jumped out to an 11-1 lead after the first quarter on the way to a 21-2 victory at home earlier this month. The Rock finished with a 40-2 advantage in total shots to go along with a 22-3 edge in draw controls and a 20-17 advantage in ground balls. SRU got goals from 13 different players with Lauren Searles leading the way with three goals and three assists. Camryn Whipple added three goals and one assist and Brooke Wisniewski finished with a hat trick. Charleigh Rondeau grabbed 15 draw controls and Nicole Masi had four caused turnovers.
